At Inmarsat Government, we are fully cognizant of the ever-changing threat landscape which computing and communication systems face. We invest heavily in a team of highly talented, experienced and educated personnel and work with market-leading partners to achieve the right balance of enablement and security. Inmarsat Government’s corporate network is continuously monitored by many security tools including a complex Security Information and Events Management (SIEM) program, in addition to third party monitoring of network security.

We monitor and verify 24/7/365 the security of our customers and internal networks, using industry-leading cyber tools and managed security services. Our cyber systems automatically review log events, processes, system files and other configuration events for threat indicators, and alert to security anomalies in various ways, including email alerts, dashboards and phone calls. We have established Incident Response processes to ensure these alerts are addressed expeditiously by the appropriate engineering team, no matter the time of day.

Inmarsat Government’s internal networks are compliant with Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 252.204-7012 Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting (OCT 2016) and associated requirements set forth in National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-171, “Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Information Systems and Organizations”. We have the capability, required clearances, and necessary experience to support any mission-security requirements. All personnel in direct contact with sensitive DoD OPSEC indicators have the appropriate personnel security clearances to perform work on the requisite contracts.
