Kenneth Mann is Chief Operating Officer of Viasat Government Services, a business segment of Viasat Government and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Viasat Inc., focused on delivering secure end-to-end managed network services to the U.S. Government via major programs.
Mr. Mann is responsible for the engineering, network operations, bandwidth management, information technology, cybersecurity and information assurance teams. He oversees these teams to ensure collaboration and execution of Viasat’s major programs, strategic planning to capture new business, application of new technologies, and architecting adaptive cyber security solutions to protect the company’s global network infrastructure.
Mr. Mann is a U.S. Army veteran with more than 20 years of experience in satellite communications. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Inmarsat Government prior to its acquisition by Viasat. Mr. Mann’s military career covered many areas including satellite payload and Telemetry, Tracking, and Control (TT&C), engineering, very small aperture terminal (VSAT) and Teleport operation and maintenance, and system testing and development. Following the U.S. Army, he served in multiple operations management and project lead positions at ITT Systems Division and Systek.
Mr. Mann holds a BS in Information Systems from Strayer University.
