Qasim Rana serves as Chief Commercial Officer of Viasat Government Services, a business segment of Viasat Government and a wholly owned subsidiary of Viasat Inc., focused on delivering secure end-to-end managed network services to the U.S. Government via major programs.
Mr. Rana is responsible for commercial strategy and program management for the business segment’s satellite communication services and solutions offered to the U.S. Government market sector. This includes defining and executing a unified revenue and growth plan for both wholesale and retail business, as well as programs and capture management.
Mr. Rana has over 18 years of experience in program management, business development, capture and business strategy, and market/competitive intelligence. Recently, Mr. Rana served as the Senior Vice President of Programs and Capture for Inmarsat Government Inc. until the company’s acquisition by Viasat in May 2023. Previously, he has held positions in various management and leadership roles within Inmarsat Government.
Mr. Rana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The George Washington University.
